Another 8 new recording projects out of a field of 113 applications. Each project will get $5,000 to record a song for radio. Decisions are based on commercial radio airplay potential, using commercial radio expertise and experience and testing the songs with commercial radio programmers.

* 'Stay Awake' by Mighty Scoop (Independent)
* 'Sound Selector' by Nesian Mystik (Bounce Records)

Radio Hits
[based on airplay in the October/December 2001 quarter]
Just 4 Radio Hits rebates for songs that have picked up significant airplay on commercial radio in the October/December 2001 quarter. Each project will get $5,000 (or the actual cost of recording and releasing the single, whichever is the lesser). Decisions are based on analysing the airplay logs supplied to APRA by 110+ commercial radio stations.
Note that songs that have picked up significant airplay in this quarter but have already been funded via the Phase Four funding schemes (eg 1+1+1 by K'Lee; Taken by Stellar; Place To Be by goodshirt; What You've Done by Tim Finn; Nothing New by Tadpole; Nesian Style by Nesian Mystik; Communicate by the feelers; and Did You Do It All For Love? by Nurture) are not eligible.
* 'Bruce' by Rubicon (Wildside Records)
* 'Good In My Head' by Anika Moa (Warner Music)
* 'Into The Grain' by Augustino (Taylortalk Productions)
* 'Cry No More' by Aaria (BMG New Zealand)
Next funding round closes Friday March 15.
