Gareth Thomas is delighted to announce the release of his brand new single All Eyes In The Room, along with a hilarious but creepy video.
The creative genius behind the chart-topping Goodshirt songs Buck It Up and the iconic Sophie, Gareth has made his new track is available for FREE download on Bandcamp for one month only. All Eyes In The Room is also available on iTunes and streamed on Spotify now.
Telling the all too relatable story of seeing your ex again for the first time, All Eyes In The Room was recorded in Gareth’s home, with drums and horns recorded at The Lab with Simon Gooding. The track is a modern take on an old Motown vibe from which Gareth drew his inspiration, fueling the strange pining that lies in watching your former girl work the room with a smile that was previously reserved for you.
Accompanying the song is a video which was created with Thievery Studios, ultilising the impromptu purchase of director Garth Badger who stumbled across a Trade Me auction for 50 life-like mannequins and couldn’t leave them. Flipping the lyrics on their head, Gareth stars as the dumped boyfriend reminiscing and being unable to escape the thought – and gaze – of his lost relationship.
All Eyes In The Room is the second single from Gareth’s sophomore solo album, following hot on the heels of the quirky debut single I’d Like, which has already garnered over 14,000 plays on Spotify since its release last month. The album is due for release later in 2016 – more details to come soon.
