ABOUT GOING GLOBAL MUSIC SUMMIT:

Going Global Music Summit is a showcase of new music featuring national artists, occurring alongside the Going Global Music Summit industry seminars. The Summit takes place in central Auckland.

Going Global Music Summit provides musicians, producers, composers, labels, promoters, industry professionals and fans a chance to perform, discuss, learn, teach, and interact in front of an audience of like-minded peers in an environment that encourages the global exchange of ideas, techniques and trends.

In 2016 Going Global Music Summit will present an exciting schedule of live music events alongside a daytime program of panels, presentations, workshops and discussions. The focus is on new music and as such the live music showcases aim to reflect originality in contemporary live music practice.

TESTIMONIALS:

“Going Global Summit brings together world class panellists from all over the music world and exposes them to the world class calibre of New Zealand music while enabling direct conversation via panel discussions and one on one meetings.  I would highly recommend the event for anyone serious about New Zealand music and broader music business in the region.” – Henry Compton, The Orchard (AUST/NZ)

“Going Global really impressed me as a quality opportunity, both as a delegate and as a performer. To have one on one meetings with great international delegates, in a situation where they don’t have hundreds of other people they are trying to see seems quite unique. It’s also unique to have showcases where the delegates will really see all the bands.” – Anthonie Tonnon (showcasing artist)

“The Going Global showcase opened up some really positive things for us. Thank you. It was crucial for us to have this platform to play to international ears & has really helped us since.” – Hollie Fullbrook (Tiny Ruins – showcasing artist)

“Going Global was an amazing experience. It truly brought in a great variety of international music industry minds and voices and connected us to a very vital New Zealand music scene.” – Jacob Daneman, Pitch Perfect PR (USA)

“…a real bonus for our local music community” – Murray Cammick, Rip It Up (NZ)
