Jayson Norris creates his
distinctive sound of acoustic, roots-rock by combining his love of
singer-songwriters and indigenous music together with harmonies and melodies
that come naturally from his cultural and musical heritage of New
Zealand.
Based in London and known for his looping and amazing live shows, Jayson
performs and works all over the globe playing festivals and headlining his own
tours. Over the years Jasyon has performed and collaborated with many leading
artists including Tiki
Taane, Jason Kerrison, INXS and Blue King Brown.
Norris released the independent full-length albums A Basket Full… in
2006 and Freedom
To Live in 2010, the latter being signed to Loop
Recordings as Freedom
28 in February 2011 for New Zealand/Australia release
and gaining him a place on the Fly My Pretties January 2011 national tour.
Freedom 28 flourished
on the NZ top 40 album and independent charts. Lead singles Love Someone and Window both
made the NZ singles top 40 with Love
Someone reaching number 1 on Juice TV’s Channel 63.
Jayson’s latest 5 track EP Save
My Soul was engineered and produced by Tiki Taane. Save My Soul captures
Jayson’s dynamic live sound whilst retaining his roots and delivering a current
edge. Jayson’s forthcoming EP Eroded is due for release in the coming weeks...
Jayson’s songs are beautifully crafted and highly licensable and can be heard
regularly on the Australian soaps Home
and Away and Neighbours.
