Hamilton rockers Checaine are at it again, hitting the road in support of their latest single Set Us Free. Having supported local heavyweights Devilskin and I Am Giant in recent years, the four-piece are bringing their high octane Rock n Roll show to towns across the North Island in October/November.
The band has undergone some changes since the release of their debut album Turn The Stone, with founding members Regan Aspden and Fraser Coombes having been joined by new members Pete Westbury (Sticky Filth, The Nod, Blackjack, World War 4) on drums, and Chris Prenter (Darklight Corporation, Silos) on bass, both of whom bring a wealth of experience to the band.
The new line-up has spent the winter months in the studio, resulting in them rolling out the big guns with their latest single Set Us Free. With a pounding beat and an anthemic chorus, played with raw rock n roll abandon, it confirms the bands new direction with a nod to their past.
Checaine’s Fraser Coombes says the band can’t wait to bring their brand of rock to regional New Zealand:
“It’s great to get out of the big cities and hit smaller towns and venues, where the locals really get in behind NZ music”
Tickets for all shows are on sale now through http://www.undertheradar.co.nz/
