Electronica meets modern classical composition on Auckland-based artists Suren Unka and Levi Patel’s debut collaborative EP 5/8. Available for streaming and purchase across all digital stores from today, the pair will also perform it live at a release show on 20 August at Auckland's LOT23.
The unlikely allies effortlessly blend dance producer Suren’s swirling rhythms and electronic sound design with composer Levi’s slow moving harmonies and delicate textures to create a dynamic ambient house record. Read their EP track commentary here.

“Sometimes what works live is slightly different to what worked in the recordings… some of the parts we’re playing, we ended up improvising,” said Levi Patel. Watch the full interview with both artists below:
