iHeartRadio New Zealand is excited to announce British singer-songwriter Passenger will be performing a free live concert on 22 August at The Tuning Fork in Auckland.
Ivor Novello-winning artist Mike Rosenberg, known as Passenger, rose to notoriety when his hit Let Her Go topped charts in 20 countries around the world. The video is one of only 25 videos to have ever passed the one billion views mark on YouTube.
NZME Group Entertainment Director, Dean Buchanan says, “We’re thrilled to have Passengeras the next iHeartRadio show, and The Tuning Fork is the perfect venue because you are so close to the artist. He has a distinctly unique sound that really resonates with people in such an intimate setting. We can’t wait for the new album and we’re lucky to have passenger play for us live”
Passenger has performed live to millions over the past few years, from huge festival stages, Ed Sheeran Stadium support slots, sold out headline shows in USA, Canada, Uk, Europe, Australia and New Zealand to busking on street corners whenever possible.

Young as the Morning, Old as the Sea, the new and eighth album from Passenger, will be released on 23 September. It was recorded at Neil Finn’s Roundhead studio here in New Zealand, and the country’s landscape served as inspiration for the album. It is fitting, then, that Kiwis will be treated to this exclusive performance in the lead up to the album launch. Preorder the album here.
