Two of the country’s most electric live acts are hitting the road this September for a co-headline tour.
For alternative rock band Clap Clap Riot, the shows come off the back of releasing their first single in two years, Help Me. The infectious track is the lead single from the band’s third full-length release, produced, engineered and mixed by Tom Healy. The colourful release is expected to see the light of day in early 2017. Quiet since their Silver Scroll long-listed collab with Buzz Moller in 2014, the band can’t wait to head out and road test some new material.
Fellow Auckland band Racing also appear fresh off a release, having recently unveiled disco-flavoured single Misbehaving. The hypnotic-rock band are known for their explosive live shows, praised as the future of Kiwi rock ’n’ roll on their last endeavour. Racing is made up of Edward Knowles, Sven Pettersen, Izaak Houston and Daniel Barrett.
Both bands will be bring their frenetic stage presence to five of country’s centres, including two hometown shows to cater to both all ages and R18 audiences. Tickets will go on sale from 8am on Tuesday 9 August through undertheradar.
