After slaying at festivals
and gigs across the globe, Sydney beat maker, Kilter, touches down
in New Zealand this week for a three-date tour.
The electronic extraordinaire has just added Queenstown to his whirlwind tour and will
play at the World Bar this Thursday, September
22. He’ll then take Christchurchby storm, playing at the Empireon Friday, September 23,
followed by Aucklandat Neck of the Woodson Saturday, September
24.
Kilterhas been at the forefront of electronic music in Australia since bursting onto
the scene several years ago. He’s taken his unique blend of atmospheric
soundscapes and party tunes, including the smash hit ‘Fool For You’, around
the world, playing with Rüfüs, Hermitude, Carmada and LittleDragon.
Now after a highly
successful tour of Europe, Australia’s prodigal son is back in the southern
hemisphere wowing home crowds, and critics:
“One of the charms of
Kilter’s show is just how live it is, and having seen him develop and tweak it
over the years I can safely say that this was his most well-thought out and
best put together show of his career so far” – The Interns
“Kilter kept the energy in
the room going right from the beginning; if you weren’t there to dance you were
probably at the wrong gig. His unmistakable steel drums created summery feels
through the entire set; it’s impossible not to smile and have a blast when
you’re attending a Kilter show” – http://www.australianmusicscene.com/
He’s now looking forward to playing for Kiwi crowds - so much so, he’ll be
returning to these shores in early 2017 for the Bay Dreams Festival on January 2 in Mount Maunganui, where
he shares a line-up with the likes of Shapeshifter, Peking Duk, Summer Thieves and Sticky Fingers.
But before then, make sure you witness the dynamic force that is Kilter live in action
