One of the country’s biggest Hip-Hop innovators, David Dallas, has released the brand new single Fit In. This is the first official single from his new studio album due out late April.

Production for the new single is at the hands of Melbourne-based Styalz Fuego and Nic M, evoking the feeling of an updated take on early 21^st century 2-step. Combining the production with the smooth vocals from British newcomer Laurent John and the hard bars of David Dallas himself, Fit In sees the NZ trendsetter continue to stand out, shifting his sound and the goalposts.

Premiering the single live to Facebook from Auckland’s Red Bull studios last night, David Dallas took a fans-first approach to the release, which also offers a glimpse into what to expect from his upcoming record.

Recorded at Red Bull Studios, the forthcoming album follows the critically acclaimed Falling Into Place – a record which saw David Dallas reach significant heights. David Dallas took home two Tuis at the 2014 NZ Music Awards for Best Male Artist and Best Rap Album for Falling Into Place. The first single Runnin achieved PLATINUM status in New Zealand and has been viewed a whopping 3.8 million times on YouTube. Following the release of the album, David Dallas supported Eminem on his first New Zealand show and toured with Run The Jewels across Australia and New Zealand.

Fit In is available digitally across all platforms from today. Pre-orders for the new album will be available from Friday 7 April.
