Harry Parsons returns with
his compelling new single
'Crown', showcasing his talents for making music at once
personal and poetic.
Parsons is a 20-year-old Auckland based musician, currently completing his
final year of his music degree. After winning the Solo/Duo category in the 2013
SmokeFree RockQuest, Parsons has gone on to release numerous projects
including his 2015 EP Lost and
the single Exoskeleton in 2016,
along with a beautifully crafted music video released in September last year.
With graceful lyrics that speak of fragile hearts, enduring pain and love-ideals
that today's generation may think are long since past, Parsons creates an
atmosphere that draws the listener into a dream-like trance.
Crown is a mesmerising journey through the depths of a heart laid bare, its delicate
hypnotic melody, hard to let go of, but the track leaves the
listener with a renewed sense of hope and peace.
“Crown is a soft-spoken symbol of letting your guard down and sharing
the strains of life with that special someone.” explains Parsons.
Directed by Matthew
Dawson and shot on the west coast by Josh Allen, the
accompanying music video is as languid and sensual as the song.
