Not your usual female MC, Oz based Kiwi Artist Licy Be bares all in her new single None Like You.
Both Licy’s passion and faith are perfectly encapsulated in her new single None Like You, produced by rising Perth producer Tiri Boy. With smooth Pacific flavoured R&B production, Licy’s lyrical content and emotional imagery will tear at your heartstrings and leave you feeling closer to god.
Both singles are from Licy Be’s upcoming debut album Beautifully Broken, an album full to the brim with various positive kaupapa (messages).
Christchurch-born Licy Be is not just chasing dreams, she’s achieving them. Within her short time since moving to Australia, she has performed at the Sydney Opera House, played as a support act for Sammy Johnson and rocked a 3000 strong crowd at Perth’s HBF Stadium. Not only that, her videos online have racked up over 100,000 views.
She is a conscious rapper, a poet, a motivational speaker, a mental health advocate and a leader of her faith. Living through the Christchurch earthquakes, a troubled schooling history and an attempt at her own life at age 17 have all given her the fuel to become the motivational leader she is today.
Currently plotting further world domination (or motivation) through her tour across the US, New Zealand and Australia, Licy will continue to utilize her faith and music to continue her trajectory as one of the most promising female Hip Hop artists in Australasia today.
