A multi-artist lineup of New Zealand acts will take part in an unprecedented showcase tour of Australia’s east coast during ANZAC weekend.
The DUB CONSPIRACY LIVE tour will comprise of nine New Zealand acts playing shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The inaugural tour, with an expected attendance of more than 5000, will take place over ANZAC weekend, April 22nd-24th.
The lineup will treat Australian audiences to the cream of Kiwi roots-reggae, dub, drum ‘n’ bass, hip hop and Pacific grooves including: SALMONELLA DUB, FAT FREDDY’S DROP, CONCORD DAWN, SHAPESHIFTER, CORNERSTONE ROOTS, KORA, DLT, SUNSHINE SOUNDSYSTEM & MIGHTY ASTERIX.
An increasing awareness and respect for New Zealand music in Australia over the last year has helped lay the foundations for a groundbreaking tour of this scale to be undertaken. This tour will further help lift the profile of both the acts performing and NZ music in general. Australian guest artists have been invited to join the Kiwis, making DUB CONSPIRACY LIVE a trans-Tasman tour in the true spirit of ANZAC tradition.
New Zealand’s Dub Conspiracy label is presenting the tour and will provide ticket buyers with a complimentary sampler CD of tracks by the headline artists, released specially for these shows.
DUB CONSPIRACY LIVE is the biggest New Zealand showcase tour of its type to hit the road in Australia and all shows are expected to sell out.
