“Armed
with polyphonic keys, electric drums and the occasional guitar riff, these
multi-instrumentalists took the edge off the night nicely with their laid-back
melody and head bopping drum loops. Swapping up the sticks for the guitar while
singing sweetly, these two knew how to put on a good show, keeping the crowd
attentive for the entirety of their set”

Led by the single Cascades, False Heights bring us their Debut EP No...? Who?
False Heights is a duo of unlikely powerhouses. With April Nisbet on keys and Ashley Pirie on drums and guitar, together their voices fuse the soft with the masculine to create dreamy songs that are super catchy but, with an indie punch.
Cascades is about relationships and how in the beginning its Milk & Honey and it then it turns sour. Sometimes it’s better to let go and then you can reflect on the memories to see what lessons you have learnt.
The False Heights EP is a collection of 6 tracks recorded and mixed by Nick Poortman and Kog Studio and mastered at Kog Mastering Ltd.
False Heights are fast becoming a popular live act in the local music scene often opening or performing with many other well-known kiwi acts and have a packed 2018 ahead. Amongst a flurry of other shows around the North Island, False Heights recently performed at ‘Lovelake Festival’.
With plenty of live shows in the near-future, expect to see this talented pair showcase their debut EP and much more.
