Marlon is currently on a three month international tour with his band where they have sold out dates in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Portland, Boston, London, Amsterdam, Berlin Paris and Melbourne and sold more than 25,000 tickets. He was recently highlighted by the New York Times as being one of the best acts at this years SXSW festival in Austin, Texas;
“His voice was a long-breathed tenor shading smoothly into falsetto; his pants showed a lot of ankle. Brokenhearted and a little geeky, he was a fond throwback to Roy Orbison and Chris Isaak”.
Released in February, Marlon’s sophomore album Make Way For Love has been receiving high praise from both fans and critics alike.
“A beautiful, honest breakup album from an old soul, 5 stars” NZ Herald
With major international TV appearances still to be announced, this tour just keeps soaring to new heights but New Zealanders are keen to see their homegrown boy back on local soil this May.
