Marlon Williams Second Christchurch show announced. First Auckland show sold out.

Adding to a string of sold out New Zealand shows this May, Heartstop Music and Eccles Entertainment have now added a second show at Christchurch’s Foundry on Monday 21st May. Tickets for this new Christchurch show are on sale at midday today from Ticketmaster!

Auckland’s first Town Hall show is now completely sold out, however lucky fans can still purchase tickets to the second fully seated Auckland Town Hall show. Do not delay as these tickets are selling fast.

This is by far Marlon Williams' largest headline tour of New Zealand in venues of this size. Now a whopping 7 back to back shows across the country playing all new material for kiwi fans.

Marlon is currently on a three month international tour with his band where they have sold out dates in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Portland, Boston, London, Amsterdam, Berlin Paris and Melbourne and sold more than 25,000 tickets. He was recently highlighted by the New York Times as being one of the best acts at this years SXSW festival in Austin, Texas;

“His voice was a long-breathed tenor shading smoothly into falsetto; his pants showed a lot of ankle. Brokenhearted and a little geeky, he was a fond throwback to Roy Orbison and Chris Isaak”.

Released in February, Marlon’s sophomore album Make Way For Love has been receiving high praise from both fans and critics alike.

“Make Way for Love showcases a brash openness as Williams willingly exposes himself without apology or self-consciousness” Pop Matters

“Throughout the album his near-impeccable vocals soar and wane with impunity - his childhood choir training gifting him mastery of pitch and harmony - and while the overall result is still a defiantly retro vibe, it's one that feels decidedly richer and more sonically realised”. TheMusic.com.au

“A beautiful, honest breakup album from an old soul, 5 stars”  NZ Herald

With major international TV appearances still to be announced, this tour just keeps soaring to new heights but New Zealanders are keen to see their homegrown boy back on local soil this May. Limited tickets to new shows in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
