cleverly weaves in heartache with the excitement of new
beginnings. PTbrings his trademark effortlessly cool style to the track, which sits perfectly
alongside the vocals of his Sydney sidekick, B Wise.
B Wise is
a Nigerian-Australian hip-hop artist who is making a name for himself on the
Australian indie hip hop scene, with hits including
“It was originally a song I had written for somebody else. But as we got closer
to finishing the album - it fit the scope of the project so well - we decided
to keep it,” says PT about
Moving On.
“It definitely has summer vibes dripping through it, and I had written it as I
envisaged a person finally ready to venture back out into the world after the
pain of heartbreak… We've all been there, once we're past the hard stage of
letting someone go in our hearts. I wanted to capture THAT specific moment, how
it feels directly after.
“B Wisewas an easy choice to feature on the track, once I heard his verse I knew
straight away he gave it what the song needed, another level of depth and a new
angle, he flows so seamlessly with the song so it was a perfect pairing,” says PT.
Moving On follows the release of PT’s
catchy dance track
R.O.D which has seen airplay across George FM, Flava and Mai FM.
R.O.D has been played
more than 200,000 times on Spotify since its release just a month ago, and
currently features on some of Australasia’s biggest dance playlists including
Monster Dance Hits and New Dance Beats.
Both
R.O.D and
Moving On signal the upcoming release of PT’s
full-length album
Goliath,
which will be released on May
4.
An album packed with killer tunes,
Goliath showcases PT’s
skills across the board, from writing, to his distinctive vocals and producing
chops.
With millions of plays on his songs across all platforms - including 1.4
million streams on Spotify on his 2013 smash hit
My Baby, as well as
featuring on Arona Mane's
current single
Oscar, PTis undoubtedly one of Kiwi RnB’s most successful exports.
He also has a stellar live track record, which has seen him play shows, tours
and festivals across New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific and the United States
