Today, much-loved RnB/soul duo Adeaze surprise fans with the announcement of their imminent forthcoming album A Mother’s Love, out this Friday May 11th. The announcement coincides with the release of their new single You Make Me Smile. Listen to it HERE.
Dedicated to their late mother who inspired their passion for music, A Mother’s Love gave brothers Nainz and Viiz Tupa’i the opportunity to record many of the songs they were taught growing up as well as songs that their mother loved to hear them singing.
Talking through the experience of creating the record, Nainz and Viiz explain how “It was a very emotional and hard time recording this album with both of us still mourning the loss of Mum, but we have found great joy and healing through recording this album.
“We wanted to honour not only our Mum whom we love, but honour all Mothers out there and those who may have lost loved ones.”
Since the release of their sophomore album Rise and Shine in 2011, the brothers have focused on building their SaintzUp Performing Arts Trust (SUPA) which nurtures young talent in South and West Auckland. With an aim to instill confidence in kids within their community, SUPA now teaches classes in guitar, Pasifika dance, street dance and drama.
