Jhené Aiko is bringing her Trip tour down under this September.
Presented by Pato Entertainment and The Hour Group, the Grammy-nominated pop
icon will perform an all-ages show at the Logan Campbell Centre in Auckland on Thursday, September 20.
Aiko will
be joined by New Zealand’s own award-winning electronic, soul and RnB act, Ladi6.
Jhené Aiko’s
second full-length album Trip is the long-awaited follow-up to her critically acclaimed
2014 debut LP, Souled Out,
which entered the RnB Albums chart at #1 upon its release.
“Jhené Aiko transforms heartbreak, tragedy and existential crises
into a dreamyescape,”raved TIME

album] surges with a lush, aquatic gravitas, distinctly R’n’B but never
confined to genre conventions.”
The album’s first single and video,
The
Pressure has more than 11.1 million YouTube views to date.
Souled Out took flight on the strength of Aiko’s
phenomenal #1 debut EP,
Sail Out (2013), the biggest-selling EP in Def Jam history with her
sizzling BET award-winning and Grammy-nominated #1 platinum crossover hit
The Worst, as well as
collaborations with Kendrick
Lamar, Vince Staples and Childish
Gambino for
Bed
Peace.

Sail Out, having been
featured on singles, albums, and mixtapes by A-listers Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Big Sean, Logic,
J. Cole, Drake and many more. In 2016 she also
collaborated with multi-platinum superstar Big Sean.
Having joined Drake on
his 39-city North American
"Would
You Like A Tour?" tour, Aikonow makes it back to the southern hemisphere for this one-off all-ages Auckland
show.
With Grammy nominations up her sleeve and a tonne of support from her peers, Jhené Aiko is not to be
