95bFM, CRS & Live Nation Presents – The Breeders
December 11th at The Powerstation
Tickets available from Ticketmaster
The Beths are set to support The Breeders in their sold out Auckland show on December 11th at The Powerstation.
New Zealand’s hottest export The Beths channel their long-time friendship into high-energy pop with a smart lyrical bite, and the recent release of their latest album, Future Me Hates Me was released to rave reviews from the likes of Pitchfork and The Rolling Stone, gaining them a devout fan-base across the globe, and seeing them nominated for a 2018 APRA Silver Scroll Award.
“Future Me Hates Me is one of the most impressive indie-rock debuts of the year, delivering on the promise of The Beths’ Warm Blood EP from 2016. It’s the kind of record you expect to come from a band’s third or fourth attempt: tight, hook-filled songwriting filled with energy and attitude, paired with lyrics that cut to the bone and a sense of confidence that betrays the record’s at-times slackened vibe” - Larry Fitzmaurice, Pitchfork
The Breeders are best known for their album Last Spash, recorded in 1993 by Deal, her twin sister Kelley, Jim Macpherson and Josephine Wiggs and released on 4AD.Propelled by the success of their instantly-recognisable hit track ‘Cannonball’, which was accompanied by the iconic MTV video directed by Kim Gordon and Spike Jonze, The Breeders return to Auckland in a sold out one-night-only show at Auckland’s Powerstation.
