Melbourne and Sydney, prepare for the triumphant return of Kiwi sludge rock overlords, Beastwars as they celebrate singer Matt Hyde's cancer being in remission after he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2017.
"Being in remission is a blessing" Matt says, "The amount of fans that reached out to me while I was ill was mind blowing. I never thought that there were so many people that our music had touched and connected with. While health is on my side we thought that we should play some shows again. It's crazy that getting sick is the thing that has brought us back together."
After a 2 year hiatus, Beastwars re-emerged on their home soil in July with four sold out shows, and will be joining NZ natives Shihad, on their 30th anniversary tour (19th-21st Oct) before heading over to The Evelyn Hotel (Melbourne) on Saturday, 3rd November and Frankies Pizza By The Slice (Sydney) Sunday 4th November.
With a setlist made up of favourites off their trilogy of albums; Beastwars, Blood Becomes Fire, and The Death Of All Things, Beastwars promise to treat fans to new music at these shows that celebrate life, good friends and the huge riffs and powerfully executed live performance that they're known for and excitedly celebrated about.
Proudly presented by New Zealand craft beer legends Panhead Custom Ales whose award winning Quickchange XPA is now available across Australia and also sold at both gigs in 'tinnies'.
