Leading up to the release of their new album Voyager, Yoko-Zuna release another taste of the sound of the record. Featuring vocals from frequent collaborator Melodownz, Take Me To Your Leader shows the darker side to the album.
Take Me To Your Leader shows two artists who have collaborated together for years. Featuring the smooth, confident vocals from Melodownz and the trademark unique electronic sound of Yoko-Zuna, the track combines vocal samples and saxophone lines to create another sound unlike anything else.
Voyager features the beautiful artwork of Lyle Hawthorne, whose illustrations have become a staple of the Yoko-Zuna aesthetic. The band will take over Strange Haven on Auckland's K Rd for a special exhibition of Hawthorne's artwork from all their releases, and pop-up store.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 November from 12-5pm and give fans the chance to buy limited prints of Yoko-Zuna art, an early copy of limited edition double LP and other exclusive merchandise.
