Soda Boyz are known for their dynamics. Thoughtful and patient guitar passages are followed by wrenching slowcore breakdowns. Felix (bass vi, vocals), Jules (guitar) & Josh (drums) are stoked to release new single Renamon. The song bursts with overdriven harmonics and turns of restraint and intensity. Being labelmates of Carb on Carb on Aotearoa label Papaiti Records, one can expect a similar passion and immediacy.
Their debut Australian tour begins tomorrow in Sydney, before heading out West to Beatdisc Records and the acclaimed Doonside House Show - and later visiting Canberra and Melbourne. Soda Boyz are also celebrating the tour by releasing a limited edition tour collection on cassette. It will include Renamon, the previously-only-on-vinyl Home Again, a cover and some recent live tracks. It will be available at all dates.
