Florence + The Machine will descend on New Zealand for what will undoubtedly be two enthralling performances in Auckland next week. The enigmatic musician will first perform at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Albert Park on Monday 28th before taking the stage for her Spark Arena show on Wednesday 30th January after wrapping up her Australian tour with a final, sold-out Sydney Domain concert tomorrow night.
Following on from his debut New Zealand performance at Laneway Auckland, nineteen-year-old London-based singer-songwriter Yellow Days will now also open for Florence + The Machine at her Spark Arena show, and is sure to captivate audiences with his commanding baritone and dreamy brand of slacker-rock
Reminiscent of an early Mac DeMarco, the multi-instrumentalist first came to the fore on his 2016 debut EP Harmless Melodies. The release hatched the song Gap In The Clouds, which sound-tracked the trailer for Donald Glover’s (Childish Gambino) series ‘Atlanta’.
His debut, full-length project, Is Everything Okay In Your World? was released late last year and excitingly, New Zealand audiences will be some of the first in the world to catch Yellow Days’ twisted, beguilingly catchy psych-pop off his debut record.
This is a show not to be missed!
Florence + The Machine’s latest album, High As Hope, is out now via Universal Music
