Following on from the release of his single, Better Days, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Sam Loveridge is proud to reveal Clarity, his 11-track 70’s folk-rock debut, brought alive by scatterings of moog, banjo, piano and organ, setting alight his quick wit and knack for storytelling.
The process of writing this album was a cathartic one for Sam, with his songs inspired by critical thinking, his changing views and the observation of his surroundings.
“Clarity is about my journey of learning about and engaging with myself, to move from looking at the world and asking why, to finding and doing the things I enjoy. This journey felt necessary and was inspired by lots of different things, from a loss of political faith, becoming critical towards prevalent aspects of our culture, climate change and most importantly the way myself and people I know sometimes treat themselves. We can change, we can engage on a deeper and more meaningful level, we can find joy” - Sam Loveridge
A gifted musician and multi-instrumentalist in his own right, Sam has worked with the likes of Mice On Stilts, Callum Gentleman, Gitbox Rebellion and Estella, and will be celebrating the release of his album with a nationwide tour with dates to be announced at a later date.
