Rising Kiwi indie-rockers Daily J are hitting the road this July/August for their first official nationwide tour, Ride The Tide, and have also revealed there’s a new single on the way - Left Me Like Summer (out on July 19).
Daily J - a band of three brothers (Jayden, Jesse and Jonny) and their mate Rick - will kick off the tour in Queenstown at Yonder on Friday, July 26; followed by Dunedin at Starters Bar on Saturday, July 27. It’s then on to Caroline in Wellington on Friday, August 2; Totara St in Mt Maunganui on Saturday, August 10; before winding up in Galatos in Auckland on Friday, August 23.

A riff-fuelled, highly addictive tune that gleams with Daily J’s trademark foot tapping indie-rock beat, Left Me Like Summer is about “losing someone you love, who is a memory of summer,” says the band’s lead singer Jayden Paul.
The song was written by Jayden; produced by Kiwi producer Joe Farris and mastered by Grammy-winning legend Brian Lucey in Los Angeles.
Left Me Like Summer follows the release of Black Lagoon, which received radio play on NZ’s tastemaker indie station Hauraki while also racking up an impressive 85,000 plus streams on Spotify in just a matter of months.
Both songs set the scene for the release of Daily J’s upcoming EP.
