I Go Crazy is the third single by Adrian Drew to be released under the name Investigator. It features the multi-award winning Producer/MC of Fast Crew, Jerome Fortune (Jeremy Kent-Johnston). This is his his first commercial release in over a decade.
The two met as neighbours while the Fast Crew were recording their second album, Truth, Lies & Redtape. Both shared a love for a wide range of music and the past years produced many jam sessions and sharing of ideas.
Fast forward to 2017 and Adrian plays the demo of I Go Crazy to Jeremy. He instantly asks for the stems, loving the hip hop drum track and song groove. After a matter of days, the song had been transformed into something truly unique.
As with the recently released self-titled Investigator EP, the song was mixed and mastered by Engineer/Producer, Kane Bennett. The Frontman for Heavy Metal band Sonic Altar, Kane delivers again with outstanding aural quality.
The song is set in small town America, focusing on a guy who still pines for his teenage sweetheart. A truly cross-genre piece of music, it’s an old love song for a future you.
This release marks the start of an entirely new project for Investigator... a collaborative one. Designed for a new 5-track EP, work is already underway on the follow up single, Lovers & Loners.
This time working with Producer/Composer, Sam Frank, who wrote and produced Sia’s second album, Healing is Difficult. Sam is a true multi-instrumentalist whose credits range from musical theatre production to jazz saxophonist.
Expect the dark space and bass driven drops to make the hairs on your neck stand on end.
Look out on social media for Investigator playing live with full backing band The Constabulary.
I Go Crazy is due for release on 2 Sept across all digital platforms!
