With only eight weeks to go, New Zealand’s hottest party of the year – Friday Jams Live – is about to turn up the heat as Illusive Presents, Frontier Touring and ZM reveal not one but two Hip Hop and RNB royalty additions to the 2019 line-up: Brandy and New Zealand’s own Scribe. Joining the list of musical phenomena for the third installment of Friday Jams Live, Brandy and Scribe will perform exclusively at Western Springs Stadium.
Bringing her golden sultry vocals to the Friday Jams Live stage this November, Brandy will captivate crowds with her infinite repertoire of sing your heart out jams including Never Say Never (#16 NZ Gold), I Wanna Be Down, Have You Ever (#1 NZ Gold) and the longest running #1 female duet in American chart history – The Boy Is Mine (Feat. Monica) (#1 NZ Platinum) which cruised at the top of the Hot 100 Chart for 13 weeks. Officially returning from her hiatus by teaming up with Daniel Caesar for his soulful yet jazzy RNB number Love Again Brandy’s husky-honey vocals and smooth moves are destined to send tingles down your spine once she graces the stage. Make sure you secure your spot at the hottest party of the year!
Also joining the already stacked Friday Jams Live line-up for 2019 is New Zealand hip-hop heavyweight SCRIBE. Bursting onto the scene in 2003 with the 5x Platinum single Stand Up it quickly became apparent that Not Many, if any dudes could match his flow. The single spent 12 consecutive weeks at #1 - a New Zealand record at the time. His debut album The Crusader raced to the top of the charts reaching gold status within hours and has since been certified 5x Platinum. There’s no doubt that Scribe remains one of our finest musical talents and it is an honour to be welcoming him to the Friday Jams Live stage this year.
Leading the charge at Friday Jams Live 2019 is five-time GRAMMY Award winner Janet Jackson (Control, Together Again, All For You) who celebrates the 30th anniversary of her NZ Top Ten album Rhythm Nation (cert. Gold) this year, notorious party starters the Black Eyed Peas (Pump It, I Gotta Feeling, Where Is The Love?) and one of the most indelible and influential figures of hip-hop from our time, 50 Cent (Candy Shop (Feat. Olivia), Just A Lil Bit, P.I.M.P (Feat. Snoop Dogg)). With these three icons performing headline sets, it’s going to be serious bump and grind goodness you don’t want to miss out on!
Also bringing his polished moves and contagious energy to the Friday Jams Live stage this year is Jason Derulo (In My Head, Whatcha Say, Don’t Want To Go Home); multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Keri Hilson (Energy, Knock You Down, The Way I Are); the Dragon, Sisqo (Thong Song); and J-Kwon (Tipsy); plus Friday Jams Live International President of Party, Fatman Scoop (Be Faithful) who will host the show!
Australia’s #1 RNB DJ, Horizon and the international party DJ YO! MAFIA will be keeping tradition spinning the latest and greatest RNB and hip-hop tracks from the generation between these epic live performances, from the minute doors open until the last mic drops.
All artists are performing exclusively at Friday Jams Live. DO NOT miss your one and only chance to witness RNB and Hip-Hop royalty perform all their hits live on one stage!
With the show only eight weeks away and polished production locked in, final tickets remain across all categories, starting from $99.90 to ensure every fan can get their RNB fix. For further ticketing and event information please visit the Friday Jams Live website or Facebook page.
