The Bedford School Of Music finally comes to Dunedin on a weekly basis. TBSOM birthed out of Bedford Entertainment originally a Dunedin company established in 1996 hosting open Mic nights, songwriting contests & battle of the bands. As the music industry evolved so did the company. The Bedfords, Miriam and Jae founded The Bedford School Of Music in Oamaru 6 years ago and always planned to expand back into Dunedin. TBSOM & Bedford Entertainment has kept its presence in Dunedin through events, kids Karaoke, talent quests, workshops & festivals.
Events are the point if difference for The Bedford School Of Music as students are alloted opportunities too perform on a regular basis and have taken out a few contests including a regional or two in The Smokefree Rock quest. The school of rock developmental program is designed to get youth on stage through a supportive environment with tutors who are professional entertainers & recording artists.
Slots are filling fast for 2020 classes and summer school. The schedule has been delicately put together to ensure students of all ages including University students have every opportunity.
Lessons will be made available in Singing, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Pop Piano/Keyboard, Drama, Harmonica, Music theory, sound & lighting, Song writing, event management & artist mentoring in a group, in schools, after school or individual basis.
