The Vibes are excited to announce the release of Real World hitting all major streaming platforms November 6th. In a period where some people feel music is losing its integrity, The Vibes deliver an anthemic single that is not only musically intricate but profound in its message, critiquing the money-hungry world we live in.
“Real World is a reflection on our society’s current state of affairs, specifically referencing the strange in our everyday lives which we liken to reality, as opposed to looking after one another. It talks about feelings of isolation, freedom and rebellion against the system that we had no part in creating.” explains Brendon Thomas, the songwriter behind the new release.
Hailing from Auckland’s North Shore, The Vibes gained national attention on ‘X-Factor New Zealand in late 2015. Electric summer festival performances were followed by an EP release and studio sessions at Parachute which culminated in their seminal album from 2017, Wrap You in the Sun produced by Eddie Rayner.
Celebrating their latest drop with a massive single release show, The Vibes are set to bring their signature psychedelic sound back to the New Zealand music scene. Their electric and dynamic live show is staggering in its impact. From the first crack of the snare to the last wail of the strat.
