10 April 2006 - 0 Comments

Mark McCall joins the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ) as director of anti-piracy.

Mark recently emigrated from the UK where he was a detective superintendent with the Metropolitan Police Service at New Scotland Yard, London, England. He has held various postings during the last 17 years including in the Area Drug Squad and the London Crime Squad.

Mark’s initial focus is to develop an anti-piracy education programme as well as continuing to enforce the rights of record producers and recording artists against copyright infringers.

RIANZ is working closely with (NZFA©T) NZ Federation Against Copyright Theft which represents film producers. NZFA©T is affiliated to the Motion Picture Association (MPA).
