Tricks & Sleeves is an Indie band from Auckland.
Influenced by alternative and indie bands from the last two decades, Tricks & Sleeves also draw their inspiration from 70’s folk rock artists like Paul Simon and Neil Young.
Catchy vocal melodies on top of solid rhythms form the basis of the sound, complemented by layers of sonically eerie guitars.
Tricks & Sleeves released their self-titled debut EP in 2014, packed with melodies that acknowledge the rambles of Ryan Adams, and hints of the ethereal haunt produced by Band Of Horses.
Building on the EP's success, they've teamed up with Aeroplane Music Records, creating their sophisticated sophomore album Locked Out Of Space, with its infectious indie pop offerings housing pure blues-rock undertones.
Band Members:
Aaron Jacobsen (bass, vocals)
Jesse Jacobsen (guitar, vocals)
Karl Jacobsen (vocals, guitar)
Gareth Van Niekerk (drums, vocals)
