Taranaki guitar pop trio The Doublejumps debut single and accompanying music video are out now.
Featuring the unique songwriting style of singer/guitarist Kayleb Duckett (formerly of Serious Happiness), the solid bass and beautiful harmony vocal of Olivia Day and the relentlessly tight drumming of Rodney Cruden-Powell, the band bring a completely fresh sound to the tried and true Rock 'n' Roll three-piece format.
"It's experimental but accessible. A little bit surf rock, I suppose. It's about how weird people and situations seem when you're a little kid. The music video features my little sister Siena playing down at the beach - we filmed it with my old camcorder one afternoon." - Kayleb Duckett
"A humble new song from The Doublejumps, reminiscent of the 80s Dunedin Sound." - Wellington musician Stu Morris
