Summer 2010 / 2011 is set to be re-named “The Season of the Doo-Riff”, with the Drab Doo-Riffs set for all manner of weird and wonderful things.
Not content with releasing (and more or less selling out) their latest E.P. “Postcards From Uranus”, playing a sold out (at least 500 punters) Kings Arms release show, dragging themselves around Australia on a self-funded tour, and scoring Top Ten spots on radio stations around the country, Auckland psycho-surf-rock’n’roll-a-billy quintet The Drab Doo-Riffs are set to release their brand new recording of “Hot Tanya”, complete with a killer video from animators Chris Stapp (Back of the Y) and M.F. Joyce (and with thanks to NZ On Air).
Add to that a headlining spot at an iconic Summer festival (can’t say...), a national tour in the pipeline in support of the single, another jaunt to Australia to seek fame and fortune, plus a super secret vinyl / artwork collaborative project you’ll hear about soon... and you’re looking at quite the next few months.
So prepare yourself for what will be The Season of the Doo-Riff!
So here it is the BRAND NEW, NZ On Air funded video for Hot Tanya!!!
