Kiwi duo Cheshire Grimm have dropped what is both their first release as a 2-piece, and their first release of 2019.
Formulated in 2012 in the grungy-lurks of Hamilton (NZ), Cheshire Grimm took off in the local scene and have expanded their sound further over the years with 2 E.P’s, a handful of singles and videos, 2 Australian tours and multiple tours of New Zealand where they have shared bills with names such as Kora, Ladi6, MC Tali, Pitch Black, Devilskin, Bakers Eddy, My Baby, Knights of the Dub Table, Skinny Hobos, The Datsuns, Valkyrie and many more.
Following on from their previous effort So Much for the Summer, which was released in November 2018, Shadows combines the traditional melancholic ‘Grimm’ vibe, with an upbeat and heavy riff-driven sound like nothing they have released before.
‘We’ve been trialling our new 2-piece sound out over the summer months and have had a really good response’ says drummer Craig Gilliver.
The Grimm are fresh off the back of playing with Australian 90's Rock act Regurgitator, as well as a number of local acts at the first ever Milk & Honey Festival earlier this year.
