RE: Rock2WGTN Posted: Tue Feb 12, 2008 3:03 pm Quote:So what can a VISITOR xpect from the Wellington weather? Will i need to bring my overcoatThe several times I've been there, it's been cold and windy. When I went there to see Bowie in 2004 it absolutely bucketed down with rain... great for an open-air venue.. NOT. |

RE: Rock2WGTN Posted: Wed Feb 13, 2008 12:49 am It's still pretty good weather here at the moment. But it would pay to bring a jersey in case there is one of those random cold days we often incounter. But I wouldn't bother with a hefty raincoat if your planning on only staying in the CBD for a few nights. |

I'm picking it will be an awesome stage-show with amazing costumes and special effects. |

RE: Rock2WGTN Posted: Mon Mar 10, 2008 9:38 pm wellington just plainly sucks. its hard enuff to get wellingtonians to pay $5.00 to see some good local bands let alone a hundred or so to see some international bands. Yet they que for hours to get into a trendy courtenay place nightclubs. Maybe if there was a rugby game in there somehow they'd be interested. someone said this(pricing going down) also happend in wellington at the rollingstones but i dont know if thats true. |

RE: Rock2WGTN Posted: Mon Mar 24, 2008 8:45 am Woah, I heard the promotor lost money on this one... perhaps he'll go for something other than a bunch of nostalgia acts... or at least grab some that are still relevant today. |

RE: Rock2WGTN Posted: Mon Mar 24, 2008 1:56 pm only went to the 2nd night, but whitesnake were outstanding! Poison were wicked too! Ozzy was pretty much just like his live DVDs but still good nonetheless. |
