Megadeth are playing with Slayer in Auckland in October, so its unlikely they'll be back so soon.

I've Heard from people that Faith No More is definately not playing BDO but seems very likely to be playing at Soundwave. Whether NZ gets a show kinda like what NIN did last year, we will have to wait and see. I believe Soundwave are announcing there lineup in the next week.

I've been hearing more rumours of Muse coming lately - possibly due to the fact that their new album is due out any day now.

First announcement will be around end of September, beginning of October.

talk english plz.

Gosh I hope Muse don't play BDO. I mean they're all good and stuff but they played not too long ago and were a headlining act. It would be a shame to have them play again as a headlining act and take away a spot for a band that hasn't played BDO before or a band that hasn't played BDO for a long while.

Yeah Muse are great & all, but they only played 2 years ago. I saw them twice in 2007 and don't care to catch them again in a hurry.

been hearing strong rumours of The Mars Volta. Apparently the drummer accidentally spilled the beans on their website. I can't find the link though so I don't know how reliable this is. Would be cool to see them for a third time though. They are one band i wouldn't mind coming to BDO again.

Looks like we can take Faith No More off the 'maybes', they've just booked onto the 'Soundwave' line up and I don't think they'll be doing two touring festivals.

Yeah screw the BDO, I'm flying over to Soundwaves

Faith No More
Clutch

Two of the greatest rock bands ever. I'm 100% there. Forget the other pop metal acts that are gonna be there.

Thinking of going to Soundwave too. But will wait to see which of the bands come over here to do sideshows before I make my final decision. It will be hard for BDO to top Soundwave's awesome line up.

Why are people trying to get bands who have already played at BDO??? most of them were bop rock! eg: muse, blink 182. Alice In Chains would be rad! not as headliner though.

Alice In Chains would actually be an alright headliner. I saw them at Soundwave this year and they thoroughly kicked ass. Awesome lighting too. It seems unlikely they would tour down under for a 2nd time in less than a year though. Maybe in 2011.

^^^ Well AiC are about to drop their new album so some festivals would make sense.

Yikes, Bizkit.

Mean pit last time though... funny to see really, really huge guys going down with looks of despair on their faces.

Rammstein were my hilight that year.

????

Bop? Bop is a derivative name of Bebop, which is a style of jazz. I don't think Blink or Muse are even close.

Im with KING. im a muse fan, but we saw them for bdo and again at their own concert. and theyr only JUST releasing a new album so its not like it would be a lot we havent heard play several times.
Id like some other bands to finally show up lol.
got my ticket for megadeth, albeit i hate slayer so that should be an interesting night.

Considering metallica released an album much earlier than acca i havent heard much about them touring this way??

I'd go see AiC,
I was thinking pearl jam earlier but now theyv released that theyr heading our way too

BDO gets less and less rock orientated each year. Now ive got me a new job might go jump the ditch for a better festival if it shows up lol!!

I would absolutely love it if Dream Theater came for that, but they're coming up soon anyways as well. Metallica would be much more likely than Megadeth, but if Deth did come back down so soon, it would most likely be with DT becuase they're good buds in terms of bands.

Definitely need more metal.
