Note how I said Deth coming back so soon, as in implication to them coming to big day out so soon after their october gig. Something I will regretfully miss.

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,26031165-2902,00.html

"The Big Day Out will announce its first-round line-up on September 29. A spokeswoman for the Big Day Out said: The line-up is not totally not locked down, but we can rumour (Muse, Blink 182 and Limp Bizkit)."

Starting their own rumours! They're bound to have contacted Muse and Limp Bizkit, even if those bands aren't gonna make it.

Other likely rumours I've read include Placebo and Lily Allen.

my current wish list of bands that have the potential of coming is:
deftones
rammstein
rob zombie
alice in chains
blink 182
mastodon
(if limp bizkit, eminem or muse played i would gladly go watch them and enjoy the show but they wouldn't be a draw card for me)

get off your high horse dick. BDO is a mainstream festival therefore mainstream bands are mentioned as rumours.

Muse, Placebo, Massive Attack, Kasabian, Lily Allen, Jet, Groove Armada, Rise Against, The Mars Volta, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Calvin Harris, Foals, Mastodon, Dizzee Rascal, Girl Talk, Josh Pyke, Grinspoon, The Temper Trap, Karnivool, Tame Impala, Dappled Cities, The Middle East, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Regular John and Former Child Stars.

Apparent leaked line up. Not sure if I believe it, but I reckon some of the bands mentioned will be on the real line up.

This ausy indie forum called Small Night In, it's basically an unofficial Big Day Out message board - created when the official BDO forums got closed down earlier this year.

HOW DARE YOU PUT DEFTONES AND BLINK 182 ON THE SAME LIST!
Blink 182 are possibly the worst band ever! Id rather watch soulja boy, looks like we bringing guns to bdo this year kids

I wonder if Royksopp are coming?
