RE: i eat meat Posted: Wed Apr 26, 2006 1:50 pm ok every now and then someone makes a uniquely funny thread, in the hope it will start random conversation with strangers. Although this thread is lacking in wit and humour, it has still attracted me to post, so well done! But in future, think before you post. P.S I eat meat....often. |

RE: i eat meat Posted: Thu Apr 27, 2006 10:40 pm I don't eat meat. Never have, never will. I don't understand why you'd want to eat an animal. Why? Tell me. |

RE: i eat meat Posted: Thu Apr 27, 2006 11:07 pm So the poor animal isn't even being recognised by the person eating it. It's a sad world. |

RE: i eat meat Posted: Fri Apr 28, 2006 5:23 pm alot of people become unhealthy from the lack of iron and other essential vitamins only found in meat and I don't think I should substitute vitamin tablets for the real thing. So in short, I eat meat to stay healthy. And because I like the taste of it. I am a carnivore. Having a diet of meat and vegetables is more affordable too, rather than trying to find vegetarian alternatives which can often be expensive. |

RE: i eat meat Posted: Sat Apr 29, 2006 11:17 am I'm not a vegetarian, but like I wouldn't be able to watch a animal be killed and then cook it up and eat it, i'd feel uncomfortable. If that makes sense? but the already packaged ones in the super market i could eat |

RE: i eat meat Posted: Sat Apr 29, 2006 12:52 pm I think it's the fact that the butchery process goes behind the scenes so us meat eaters can detatch it from eating an actual animal. |

RE: i eat meat Posted: Mon May 1, 2006 11:44 am the two of you have hit the target in your earlier posts. Meat eating is permissable because; the process is hidden from the consumer and the actual benefits (iron, etc) are talked up. there is nothing in meat that any organized person cannot replace from a vegetarian diet. you do not have to depend on dietary tablets or supplaments. I've been Vege for 17 years and Vegan for 10 and I swear i've never been healthier. Its also cheaper Grocery wise, theres a few set up costs but once your stocked on a few items its a longterm saving. Skinny Vege's, well Ilost 3 stone in 7 weeks when I went Vegan so that might tell you something about the fat content of Chees and Dairy... |
