“This is a song about having faith and hope for better days to come when you’re feeling lost,” the artist says.

Dorry writes from the heart about her own experiences, sharing feel-good lyrics in an upbeat song that will inspire listeners and have them singing along. Everything is Alright showcases the artist’s distinctive, powerful voice with unexpected twists and groovy melodies. Listen now on Spotify, Bandcamp and all other streaming platforms.

Off the back of the release of breakthrough hit You Make Me earlier this year, Dorry’s second single is another strong contender. Dorry’s vocal range is complimented by the smooth sounds of trumpet, electric guitar and drums. Brazilian producer Jeff Arantes worked with Dorry to bring her vision for a soulful song with gospel influences to life.

Dorry will perform the song live with a full band for the first time at Ponsonby Social Club on Saturday, 9 September at 7pm. Tickets for the concert are available on Under the Radar.

“I can’t wait to finally play my music live together with an amazing band that helped make this dream come true,” Dorry says.

Born and raised in Berlin, Germany Julia Dorry started her singing journey at a young age. Inspired by soul, gospel and pop music, Dorry took her unique sound on the road 10 years ago. She travelled the world to perform at live gigs and festivals before moving to Auckland, New Zealand. Experiencing a range of different music cultures has influenced Dorry’s sound and helped her find her voice.
