This Saturday 14 August
Attendees dress in all white, then at midnight, UV face-paint is released to the crowd from paint bazookas and in squeezy bottles for all to enjoy.
Brought to life by Jamie Templeton (aka Dirty Needlez), the driving-force behind the tour and Illuminate resident DJ, who has teamed up with founder Floyd Morgan to build on one of the most exciting new crazes to hit the event scene in years, these guys have the punters screaming ‘more paint, more paint, more paint’.
Wellington,
In regard to their approach to keeping people upright Floyd says “We entertain people, give them something other than drinking to occupy themselves and something else to hold in their hand… paint!”. It’s an approach that’s working for them with no reported violence at any event so far and shining reports coming back from all security firms involved. Floyd admits wrily, “It may however have something to do with our 65% female ratio”.
Capitalising on the Facebook generation, Illuminate spends no money on traditional advertising. “We let the people speak for us. We focus on making the event the craziest experience on your event calendar, you tell your friends – it’s an unwritten arrangement we have with our audience”.
Illuminate Paint Party is this Saturday, 14 August at The Stables, Ellerslie Raceway.
