Music News - Ripship Release Brand New Single 'Ripship is Online'

Ripship is Online is the first single from Ripship’s yet-to-be-announced album cycle. The single releases on digital platforms at midnight on the 26th of August, 2022.
Ripship is Online describes a civilisation at the beginning of their journey to the stars. Retro synths and groovy polyrhythms interjected with wall-of-noise guitar tones set up a jammy outro unlike any other. The song toes the line between Ripship’s classic sci-fi camp and the dark, existential nature of space and futurism. The song has long been in the duo’s live rotation, and has finally been given the loving treatment it deserves to be enjoyed in a digital format
Guitars were recorded by Ryan Brand at Cordial Studios, the rest was recorded and produced by Peter Ruddell, who also lays down some polyrhythmic saxophone on the track. The song was mastered by James Goldsmith. The single artwork is a composite of hand-drawn typography and an AI-generated image of a surrealist, post-apocalyptic landscape.
Ripship is Online will be streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube, Tidal, and any other digital streaming service you can think of.
