Synthony In The Domain’s inaugural event will showcase 8.5 hours of live music across two stages, including the global premier of Synthony No.4 debuting brand new tracks, more stunning lasers and a bigger production than ever before, over 40 premium food and drink vendors, family amusement rides, and fun activations + much more!

Synthony In The Domain is ready to bring the biggest EDM party to Pukekawa / Auckland Domain as the iconic grounds are transformed to host New Zealand’s pre-eminent electronic dance music celebration this Saturday. To keep you fuelled up through the day and night, there is something for everyone, with a wide variety of international and local flavours on the menu.

Synthony In The Domain is now taking place on the previously advertised rain date of
Sunday 2 April, 2023.

All tickets remain valid and are automatically transferred to Sunday April 2nd, and event timings remain unchanged with gates opening at 2pm.

The Stonewood Homes Food & Wine Village offers the finest selection of Auckland’s best food trucks, serving up numerous delicious snack, meal, and desert choices, including options for all dietary requirements. Choose from the best in vegan plant-based options and vegetarian-friendly delights, artisan food platters, and the classic festival favourites of gourmet fries, crepes, burgers, hotdogs, jerk chicken, pies, noodles, fried breads, dumplings, BBQ, pizza, pasta, and all the fabulously good and naughty sweet treats you can eat!

There will be a full bar serving a varied range of beers, wines, ready-mixed drinks, energy drinks, and soft drinks. Additionally, there are premium cocktail options available, including Aperol Spritz in GA and SKYY Vodka in the Premium section. To keep you happily hydrated, there are plenty of free, fresh, filtered water stations located all around the festival site for those that have bought their own empty plastic water bottles.

The General Capital VIP Garden has its own food truck options with dedicated cocktail, wine and champagne bars including Piper Heidsieck, and delectable complimentary FoodSnob grazing boards - which are also for sale in the Food & Wine Village.

Witness the Synthony stage come to life with full live sets from D&B heavy-weights Shapeshifter, pop songstress Kimbra, beloved singer-song-writing legend Sir Dave Dobbyn & band, Australian vibe setters Sneaky Sound System and local chart-topping dance-duo Sachi.

This year’s world premiere of Synthony No.4 is once again curated by DJ Dick Johnson with musical arrangements by master composer Ryan Youens, featuring the biggest Synthony ensemble to date with performances from guest vocalists and instrumentalists Sir Dave Dobbyn; Miss Connie (Sneaky Sound System); Tiki Taane; Ilan Kidron (The Potbelleez); Savage; Ella Monnery; Jeremy Redmore; Bella Kalolo, Nate Dousand, Jujulipps, Aroha (host) and Lewis McCallum on sax.

With a solid reputation for continually delivering a visually magnificent and sonically opulent experience, tickets are in high demand with over 25,000 revellers expected making this the biggest Synthony show yet, and one of the biggest music festival events to take place in New Zealand this summer.

What You Need To Know Before You Go:

Synthony In The Domain is a cashless event, with Eftpos / payWave payments at all vendors.

Synthony In The Domain is now taking place on the previously advertised rain date of Sunday 2 April, 2023.

All tickets remain valid and are automatically transferred to Sunday April 2nd, and event timings remain unchanged with gates opening at 2pm.

ENTRY:

Gates open from 2pm. There will be designated GA and Premium GA entry lanes at the Auckland Museum side of the Domain venue. If you have purchased an Express Pass, there will be dedicated Express Pass Entry lanes as well. Please follow the signage.

R18 + ID:

General Admissions Area all ages (anyone under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Premium area (18+) Accepted forms of ID include a valid NZ or international passport, a current NZ Driver’s license or 18+ Kiwi Access Card.

TICKET COLLECTION:

Entry to the Event Site will be granted with presentation of a valid QR-coded ticket issued by our authorised ticketing agency, Flicket; on either a print-at-home PDF ticket or mobile ticket (electronic ticket on mobile device). Upon entry all guests 18 years and older will be provided with a wristband, this must be worn at all times throughout the event.

FOOD & DRINK:
Please do not bring any food or drink with you, as you will not be able to bring it into the festival. There will be a full bar serving a range of beers, wines, ready mixed drinks, energy drinks and soft drinks. We have lined up a large range of Auckland’s favourite food trucks, who will be serving a great variety of meals and snacks - including options for all dietary requirements.  

WATER:
You are welcome to bring an empty plastic water bottle with you and there will be plenty of free, fresh, filtered water available all around the festival.

WHAT TO BRING:
The venue is outdoors, please bring appropriate footwear. It is an all-weather event, please check the forecast and prepare appropriately with a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, jacket, ponchos. Umbrellas are prohibited. Picnic can be bought in. It is advised to bring warm clothing as it will get cooler into the evening. ALCOHOL INFO:
Synthony in The Domain is fully licensed, only alcohol purchased from bars at the event may be consumed on the event site. Please do not bring alcohol as it will be confiscated. Valid proof of age photo ID will be required to purchase/consume alcohol. You will be evicted from the event site if found to be supplying alcohol to a minor.

PLEASE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBOURS: 
There are many residential and commercial properties bordering Auckland Domain. Please respect our local neighbours by not entering any driveways or properties and keeping noise to a minimum when arriving or leaving the event. Please remember to put any rubbish in the bin. There will be temporary toilets located outside the festival by the entry gates. 

TRANSPORT:
No onsite parking will be available, (with the exception of event disability parking – please email 
[email protected] if applicable/required). We highly recommend you utilise public transport and/or rideshare services. Please note, this event does not have integrated ticketing however additional public transport will be running - trains and buses. Enjoy 50% off AT bus, train and ferry fares until June 2023 and kids travel free on weekends*. Remember to bring your AT HOP card! Fares listed on the Journey Planner or AT Mobile app include this discount.

BUS
Standard public transport fares apply. Regular bus services travel to the Domain. The Outerlink and Innerlink bus routes operate at a 15-minute frequency on Saturdays until 11 p.m., with multiple stops a short walk from the Auckland Domain. For more information and travel choices to and from the Auckland Domain for the event, please use the Journey Planner or AT Mobile app. Travel early to beat the crowds.
 
TRAINS
Standard public transport fares apply. The only rail operating will travel on the Southern line between Britomart and Otahuhu. Newmarket train station is a 15-minute walk to and from the Auckland Domain.

On the 1st of April the following routes will be replaced with rail replacement buses due to the current rail improvement work:

- Eastern line, buses will replace trains between Manukau and Otahuhu.

- Rail network Rebuild replacement bus services will also operate between Otahuhu – Britomart.
- Southern line, buses will replace trains between Papakura and Otahuhu
- Western line, buses will replace trains between Britomart and Swanson

FERRY 
The Downtown Ferry Terminal is next to the Britomart Transport Centre; ferry passengers can easily transfer to train or bus at Britomart to make their way to the Domain. Normal fares/passes apply for ferry services. Please use the Journey Planner

RIDESHARE SERVICES DROP-OFF/PICK UP

Rideshare services for GA and Premium GA attendees will have a designated drop-off and pick-up point on George Street. Please follow the directions of the Traffic Management staff.
 
WALKING ROUTES
The roads and buses will be busy, so we recommend walking in if you live close by. The Domain is a 10-15 min walk from Newmarket, a 15 min walk from Parnell, a 20 min walk from K'Road and 35 minute walk from the city centre.
 
*50% offer and free child weekend fares applies to AT timetabled bus, train and ferry services. Excludes Waiheke and tourist ferries. Children aged 5-15 must have a registered AT HOP card. Payment by AT HOP card or cash tickets bought at AT HOP terminals.
