Nest Fest, Aotearoa's stand out festival of 2024 - first line up announcement

28 September 2023 - 0 Comments

Aotearoa’s independent festival favourite Nest Fest is back in full force, returning for its sixth and biggest year yet, across two days - January 5 and January 6, 2024 - at Tomoana Showgrounds in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay.

Continuing the story of a community who are reshaping the traditional Aotearoa music festival experience, Nest Fest is filling a unique gap in Aotearoa's summer festival landscape. With DIY, independant, and artistically-driven values at heart, Nest Fest's uniquely curated lineup is a breath of fresh air shining a light on the best artists across a broad spectrum of genres from Aotearoa and across the world.

Nest Fest has also unveiled its first stellar selection of artists on the lineup. On the bill is Genesis Owusu, who currently has the #1 album in Australia; Barry Can’t Swim, who has been taking the electronic scene by storm with fan favorite performances at Glastonbury and Lost Villages.

Alongside the massive international names, Nest Fest boasts some of Aotearoa’s finest as well including Kiwi classics The Exponents], global roots-reggae phenomenon {Katchafire, soul and funk super group, Leisure, Queen of Hip Hop and R&B Ladi6 with plenty more to be announced.

Nest Fest also has the new stand out act Promiseland, who have recently just opened for The Strokes across their Asia Tour. Suo & Malice K, all the way from NYC, will also be joining Nest Fest.

This year's Nest Fest gives fans the option to enjoy the festival together while experiencing two magical days under the sun in Hawke’s Bay. With its home in Tomoana Showgrounds for the second year, the serene festival site offers lush green fields, historical trees and shade, and spacious park-like grounds, and serene views for fans to immerse themselves in with soundtracks by the worlds very best under Aotearoa’s summer sun.

Join the festival with camping at Nest Fest, and experience workshops and the comfort of your own home, with the BYO or Pre Pitched camping options provided by ‘The Village’ camping expertise.

This uniquely independent festival in the stunning Hawke’s Bay is set to be a summer favorite for everyone. Tickets are on sale now, so get in quick to avoid missing out!
