As such the promoters feel that presenting the show in the current venue without the acts is unrealistic. For this reason the event has been moved to K -rd venues Studio and Ink/Coherent on the original date of 4 June.
Promoter Toby Burrows says. "We apologise to any disappointed fans of Underworld and Crookers. Every possible avenue has been exhausted by us to bring them but their cancellation was out of our control. The hype and support has been massive and we were well on track for a sell-out show. Our aim now is to take the remaining international acts and our strong line up of local acts and present something exciting for the fans."
The WE LOVE SOUNDS show in Perth, scheduled for the same weekend as Auckland was forced to cancel last week; As a result the New Zealand promoters have had to deal with last minute complications and two of the headline acts due in Auckland- Underworld and Crookers will not make the event. Both New Zealand and Australian promoters worked hard to find a solution to bring the internationals however it has proved unsuccessful.
"Because of the cancelations we don't expect fans to pay $95 or more for a ticket to the festival. Because of this we have come up with a partial refund offer for people who still want to attend the show. It will reduce the ticket price to $60." says Burrows.
We have come up with a partial refund offer for people who paid the original $95 and we will now offer a reduced the ticket price to $60 for new buyers. We will also offer full refunds for anyone who does not wish to attend the event.
A Strong line up of acts remains in place with internationals Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke confirmed to headline. They will be accompanied by the full original bill of local artists including Minuit, Kids of 88, P Money, Mt Eden Dubstep, Naked & Famous and heaps more.
Festival Director Paxton Talbot says "Of course we're gutted about losing Underworld and Crookers, but we're still excited about the line up and believe with our 2 internationals Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke plus a killer line up of NZ's best acts, that we have an event that will still wow its guests. We Love Sounds will still include multiple venues, rooms and spaces with hi tech lighting and audio."
