AHoriBuzz is the solo project and brainchild of Aaron Tokona (Cairo Knife Fight, Weta), an extraordinary musician who has been dubbed “New Zealand’s answer to Jimi Hendrix”.
Hot on the heels of their single Sugar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEXqW41q5GY, which was released last year, is Providence, the band’s most dance-orientated funk piece to date, which features Tali on guest vocals.
"Divine intervention, pre-destination, pre-determination all the roads that lead to providence. We all reap what we sow,” sings Tali in the song. "Let it burn, Let it burn, Let it burn, Let it burn, Providence."
Named after Tokona’s cousin, Hori, a smiling, mellow, bass-playing giant, the AHoriBuzz line-up is a flowing, ever-changing funked-up beast.
The psychedelic “anything goes” collective formed in early 2007 with the intention of bringing a group of friends together that love and enjoy each other’s musical company.
Providence is at New Zealand radio now and is available on iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/nz/album/providence/id829534738.
