Waiheke Island musician Bede Taylor has released his fifth album Fond of Fallingon digital download via Bandcamp - https://bedetaylor.bandcamp.com/album/fond-of-falling
Taylor was the founding member and primary songwriter for Three Legged Horse, an alt-country three piece from Waiheke Island that included local musicians Aaron Carpenter (Mojo Risers) and singer Gina Higham (The Polly Johnson Set). Taylor previously fronted rock band Clench, as well as forming the large rock ensemble Tank & Pump. Recently, he has performed with a guitar band BunnyJak with Frankie Fatal (Fatal Jellyspace, Anti-X Factor) before going solo to write and record five albums, all available via Bandcamp.
Taylor previously worked alone on three albums, simultaneously performing, arranging, and recording, but this time he has brought a wealth of local talent along for the ride. Dave Alley’s deft touches on guitar, Miles Gillet’s trademark timings, Moik Brennan’s basslines, and conga by Darryn Bowyer-Warner, have all contributed greatly. Taylor’s trademark lyrics as usual pack a lot into a little, and the album extends Taylor’s artistry and cements his place as one of the most talented and unique musicians to have emerged from Waiheke Island.
Bede Taylor currently lives on Waiheke Island, New Zealand with his partner, daughter, dog, chickens and five cats.
