The New Zealand Music Foundation is the official charity of the 2015 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
The charity develops and supports projects across the country that use music in healthcare, that help at-risk and vulnerable people and that foster individual and community development. It also provides caring, confidential and practical assistance to people in the NZ music community who are experiencing illness and hardship.
Recorded Music NZ chief executive officer Damian Vaughan says he is thrilled the New Zealand Music Foundation will be a part of the 2015 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
“This year we celebrate the 50thanniversary of the VNZMAs. It’s fantastic that on such an significant night we can continue our alignment with the work of the NZ Music Foundation, together championing the use of music in providing support and assistance to those in need.
“We’re confident the awards will go a long way to drawing attention to the charity’s work and encourage music lovers to support The New Zealand Music Foundation in its mission to change lives through music.”
New Zealand Music Foundation general manager Peter Dickens says: “The NZ Music Foundation was established with the belief that music has the power to make the world a better place. The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards celebrates the music that takes us there, so we’re thrilled to be in partnership with them, especially on such a significant anniversary.”
