Following an incredible
summer of sell-out shows on the first leg of the BAYS New Zealand Summer Tour, Fat Freddy’s Drop are getting ready to hit the road again. This time, they will be joined by the
innovative blues and roots group, The
Nudge.
The Nudge is
a genre-bending blues/roots/experimental three-piece from Wellington, comprised
of Ryan Prebble, James Coyle and Iraia Whakamoe.
The band has been refining their eclectic sound since 2010, when the music took
off as a solo project of songwriter-in-chief, Prebble. With the addition of
Coyle and Whakamoe, The Nudge have added more psychedelic and experimental
sounds to their repertoire, while exploring the cinematic side of music making.
Mix these influences in with the gritty blues vocals of frontman, Prebble and
you have the raucous, thunderous sound of The Nudge.
The Nudge has opened for Little Bushman, The Black Seeds and Fly My Pretties, and will now be joining Fat Freddy’s Drop on the second leg of the BAYS New Zealand Summer Tour, ahead of the release of a second full-length album due out later this year.

Before Fat Freddy’s Drop depart New Zealand to play two shows in March 2016 at O2 Academy Brixton (a 5000 person venue), the group will be performing at Auckland City Limits Festival, taking place Saturday 19th March 2016 at Western Springs Stadium in Auckland.
