Twenty-five years after its original release, the classic Split Enz album True Colours is to be re-released, replete with new colours, chosen by Noel Crombie, on the trademark cover.
The album has been completely remastered by Eddie Rayner and Studio 301's Steve Smart, and comes with a new 12-page booklet containing lyrics and publicity shots from the height of the band's New Wave era.
Featuring such classics as I Got You, Shark Attack, I Hope I Never and Poor Boy, it hit #1 in both New Zealand and Australia.
And Split Enz fans take further note, National Radio is to broadcast a new 10-part documentary series, Enzology, tracing the band's history and containing rare demos, rehearsals, studio out-takes and brand new interviews with all the major players in the band's career.
The series is set to air in weekly installments, starting on January 1 next year.
Sadly rumours of a True Colours-era reunion tour appear to have been sotched. The bid was reportedly made by Michael Coppel Presents, who is instead touring the Finn Brothers in New Zealand and Australia later this year.
