Auckland 6 piece snugglegum alt pop outfit Pixels have just released their debut EP entitled Toons.
The "heart melting" single Sleep Talk has stayed at number 6 on Local 95BFM charts for three weeks counting and is being played regularly on Wellingtons Radioactive. The band consists of Cindy Tan and Lukas Hanson (The Psychs) on vocals with Mason Fairey (The NaeNae Express, BOZO), Eamon Wells (Miloux), Alex Guthrie and Liam Pram holding down the rest.

The EP has been described by Salient Magazine as a "sweet but short-lived romance with a well-intentioned android you met down at the arcade" and by UTR as "having sincere lyricism combined with delicate playful layers of sound".
Pixels have also been put on the bill to play two shows with well known pop veterans Yumi Zouma. The shows are:
